Meet Louisiana’s Top Expert in Dyslexia
DeJunne’ Clark Jackson, founder of Learning Fundamentals Educational Therapy & Consulting, is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Certified Academic Language Therapist. She is also only one of three Education Therapists in Louisiana credentialed by the Association of Educational Therapists.
As Louisiana’s leading expert on dyslexia, her work centers on dyslexia awareness, early identification, and remediation. DeJunne’ serves on the Louisiana Literacy Advisory Commission, the Special Education Advisory Panel, and the Family Engagement Task Force. She also served on the Louisiana Department of Education’s Dyslexia Bulletin 1903 Workgroup, which strengthened dyslexia support for all students in public schools as it relates to early detection and treatment. Recognized nationally for her work, DeJunne’ is the co-author of The Speech Language Pathologist’s Guide to Dyslexia.
A former teacher, school counselor, and mother of a child with dyslexia, DeJunne’ understands, firsthand, the concerns of parents and can relate as they navigate the process of identifying the best course of action for their child’s unique needs. Her personal and professional experiences fuel her leadership with Learning Fundamentals.
